It seems like the busier things get for me at work or personally, it’s very likely that a ton of ideas and creative work rush through me as well. This time of year is no exception... please go check out a fantastic portfolio issue of F-Stop Magazine (Issue 116) - we featured 10 great photographers and published 10 interviews for everyone! (well, not 10 interviews per artist... that's just silly)
The issue features work by: Anastasia Shubina and Timofey Glinin, André Ramos-Woodard, Catherine Panebianco, Cody Schultz, Emily Allen, Jacob Black, Jessica Cantlin, Julie Fowells, Maria Oliveira, and Rasha Al Jundi.
I’ve written some book reviews to flesh out the issue as well. These four were fantastic books to present for our readers:
Book Review: EDGE by David Ricci
Book Review: Tickety-Boo by Charles H. Traub
Book Review: It’s Been Pouring: The Dark Secret of the First Year of Motherhood by Rachel Papo
Book review: The Fragility of Fatherhood by Troy Colby
And last, but not least, for this update - The good old Wobneb Magazine has a few new posts as well, including an introduction to the work by a Greek photographer (Souvenirs by Nikos Priporas). Nikos was brought to my attention by a friend of the magazine. I’m glad he did.
Also, two photo books are highlighted by talented folks are worth sharing: Little Cities by Rich-Joseph Facun and Dessert First! by Hanna Quevedo. Rich-Joseph’s work is powerful and the images are penetratingly beautiful. Hanna’s project is like a breath of fresh air and reminds me that energy and fun should be at the heart of making meaningful work.
So please check the WobnebMag website from time to time - and don’t hesitate to share your work, or someone else’s work that you think is worth mentioning. I’m always interested in sharing meaningful work! The way things are going, I’ll add even more before the month is over!
Look for posts on the site, Instagram: @WobnebMag and I’m still keeping the twitter feed active for now. That handle is also @wobnebmag. Cheers! Cary
